Firstly, congratulations on your great performance in the Flipside Music Competition - proof that old rockers don't die, they just snap their g-strings.

Secondly, I like the new profile pic - more energy . You can almost feel the moment.

I found this article in an old publication.

"Cape Town duo Critical Mass will be entertaining concert goers at the next Helderberg Nature Reserve sunset concert scheduled for Sunday the 22nd January 2006 in Somerset West.

Critical Mass is a Folk Rock duo that perform original and cover music. The music is strongly influenced by artists such as Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Eagles and James Taylor. More recent influences have come from artists such as Counting Crows, REM and David Gray. The duo comprises Glenn Buys on acoustic and lead guitar and lead vocals and Erick Smith on acoustic guitar, bass guitar and backing vocals. Glenn and Erick are enthusiastic advocates of the Folk Rock genre. Concert goers can expect to hear the true feeling of the ?thinking person?s? music.
Overall the group has more than 20 years experience playing gigs at various types of functions and venues. Glenn and Erick previously appeared at Helderberg Nature Reserve in February 2000 as the support artists to local folk balladeer Kathy Ashwell.
Tickets are available at the information centre at the reserve and at the gate on the evening of the concert.
Take along drinks, picnic baskets, blankets and chairs and make the most of the summer evening"

I think this captures the spirit of the concert somewhat.

I found the comment "THINKING PERSON'S" music particularly apt.
